Obituary of Mildred Ruth Clements

Mildred Ruth Clements, age 79, of Gas, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Diversicare, Chanute, Kansas. Millie was born on January 27, 1938, on the family farm near Selma, Kansas, to Wilford Warren Anderson and Dorothy Maxine (Herrmann) Anderson.

Millie graduated in 1956 from the Moran High School, Moran, Kansas. Millie met and married Charles Samuels, and they had four children together. They later divorced. Millie married Dewey Lee Clements in Humboldt, Kansas. They later divorced. On May 1, 1999, Millie and Don Badders were married in Iola, Kansas.

Millie worked as a pattern maker for H.L. Miller and Son dress factory in Iola, Kansas. Later, Millie worked as a home health provider.

Millie was a wonderful seamstress. Millie also loved to cook. Millie and Don also did a lot of gardening, and canning.

Millie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tamra; son, Matthew Samuels; her parents; and Harold Cooper who raised her.

Millie is survived by her husband, Don Badders, of the home; daughter, Roxanne Samuels and husband, Tony Sickler, Dry Prong, Louisiana, Wendy Linsey and husband, Gene, Admire, Kansas; Daughter-in-law, Tammy Samuels, Eureka, Kansas; step-daughters, Angela Laughlin, Seattle, Washington, Erica Badders, Iola, Kansas, Courtney Badders, Burlington, Kansas.  nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Tippie, Humboldt, Kansas; and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service honoring Millie's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kansas Law Enforcement Memorial Fund or Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas.
