I only knew Donna very casually, but Frank was one of my two best friends ever. Sadly, both of those friends are also gone now, but Frank always insisted his mother was just like him. If that's true, I wish I had made the time to get to know her better as they never came better than Frank, and no one ever had a truer or more loyal and faithful friend.
I still often laugh to this day about the Watkins sales party Frank hosted when Donna was dabbling in Watkins products as a sales representative for a while (easily 40 years ago). That party was huge fun and unbelievably successful with regard to product sales, and Donna insisted that Frank should help all her future customers plan their parties if they wanted them to be equally successful.
Then there was the Tupperware party that Frank hosted when Dona was a Tupperware representative (within the same late 70's time frame). By the time all the guests left and the order totals were tallied, some $1,400 of Tupperware had been ordered. Donna later told Frank that her District Manager said it was the biggest Tupperware party order she had ever heard of. Donna even quipped that she might have to rent a U-Haul trailer to deliver all those orders to Frank in Kansas City.
I'm positive both those parties were so immensely successful because Donna and Frank really were like two peas in a pod and just motivated people to have fun and place orders.
My deepest condolences to all of Donna's family and friends. She was one of a kind, but a very special and unique kind who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
