Johnny Sue has always been a fond memory of mine, when Jim Vines, my dad and Edith, my mother and later, Barbara Vines, my step mother, would come down from Michigan every summer around the 4th of July for two weeks to stay at my Grandmother Eunice Boyd and John Boyd's home in Iola, Kansas. My brother's Frank, Jim, Bobby and I along with my sister Jeanne Vines would play with the Christy's and Boyd's, go fishing in lakes, rivers, dams, go out for meals, play Bingo, blow things up with firecrackers we could not get in Michigan, listen to the Katydid, Cicadas, and Crickets sing during the evening, catch lightning bugs in jars, chase lizards along the railroad tracks, play tag, ball, wrestle, and get as dirty as possible to endure ourselves to our parents. Fond memories of fun cousins living in Kansas., I am saddened by our loss and will pray for Johnny Sue to be at peace. hugs hugs hugs to all, Dennis Vines
