Obituary of Terry E Shelton

Terry E. Shelton, age 57, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, Chanute, Kansas. Terry was born on April 5, 1961, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, to Patricia Louise Shelton. He was raised by his mother and his maternal grandparents, Harold and Frances Shelton, in Luray, Missouri, on a small rural farm called Whipper Will Hill.

Terry graduated in 1979 from Revere High School, Revere, Missouri. He was an all-star baseball player. His baseball team, sponsored by Budweiser, was in Luray, Missouri.

Terry and Robin Schields were married for 27 years, they resided in Humboldt, Kansas, and later divorced.

Terry owned and operated his own construction company, Shelton Construction Company, in Humboldt, Kansas. He enjoyed helping anyone who needed help.

Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He loved his family, especially family gatherings.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, his father, and his grandparents.

Terry is survived by one son, Terry (TJ) Shelton, Jr., Iola, Kansas; two daughters, Dani Pratt and husband, Chase, Iola, Kansas, Tea Shelton and fiancé, Ethan Lamons, Humboldt, Kansas; three grandchildren, Landon Shelton, Iola, Kansas, Bentley Pratt, Iola, Kansas, Graesyn Reynolds, Humboldt, Kansas; one sister, Tamara Shelton-Doty, Mount Pleasant, Iowa; three nieces, Angel Doty, April Doty, and Serdia Doty, all of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

A celebration of life memorial service honoring Terry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at his daughter's home, Dani Pratt, 408 South Washington Street, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Terry Shelton Memorial Fund, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. Flowers may be sent to Tea Shelton, 403 Mulberry Street, Humboldt, Kansas.
