Obituary of Michael Earl Gean

Michael Earl Gean, age 46, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at his home in Humboldt, Kansas. Mike was born on February 22, 1972, in Granite City, Illinois, to Glenn Gean and Judy Hodges Watring.

Mike met and married Lezlie Tomlinson on October 17, 1998, in Humboldt, Kansas.

Mike graduated from the Humboldt High School, Humboldt, Kansas. He worked a number of years in automotive repair, restoration, detailing, and painting.

Mike enjoyed collecting and restoring old things, especially antique lanterns and automobiles. He enjoyed fishing with his wife and children. He loved playing with his grandchildren. Mike liked watching his kids' sporting events. Mike's family was his whole world.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and his grandparents who raised him, Kenneth and Claudine Coy.

Mike is survived by four sons, Garron Gean, Humboldt, Kansas, Ryan Gean and fiance, Hannah Fiene, Chanute, Kansas, Evan Gean, Humboldt, Kansas, Aiden Gean, Humboldt, Kansas; one daughter, Madison Gean, Humboldt, Kansas; one brother, Alan Gean and wife, Marsha, Humboldt, Kansas; two sisters, Carla Sporn and husband, Mark, Sedgwick, Kansas, Heather Longbine and husband, Joel, Sedgwick, Kansas; four grandchildren, Hilary Gean, Humboldt, Kansas, Daigan Gean, Chanute, Adrian Gean, Chanute, Kansas, Blayke Gean, Chanute, Kansas; and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Michael Gean Memorial Fund, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas.
