I just saw Steve's obituary today. My ex husband used to work at Tolar's. My deepest sympathy for his wife and family. Steve was such a funny person to be around. Always telling jokes and laughing. Me and my son's are deeply saddened. We will always remember him for his jokes, smiles, deer jerky, homemade cranberry sauce, mushrooms and all kitchen creation's he sent home with his employees... and his giant wooden hand, he kept in his shop, that so proudly unveiled for everyone to laugh about. We will keep you all in our prayers.

I remember being in several classes with Steve at Lawrence High. He was always a happy guy who made others laugh. I'm so sorry he won't be joining us to celebrate our 50th high school reunion this year, but he will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

Steve always had a smile on his face and was nice to all. I enjoyed sitting on the patio and listening to Steve and my husband tell gardening stories. I never heard Steve say a mean word about anyone - he was someone who genuinely did care for people. We will miss him terribly.
