Josephine Bonnie Edwards, age 93, of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018, at her residence. Bonnie was born March 18, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Henry Clay Williams and Sylvia Irene Morris Williams. Bonnie was married to Lester Charles Holeman on July 1, 1946. Mr. Holeman died April 19, 1996. Bonnie married Billy Horton Edwards on August 15, 1997, in Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Edwards died on January 30, 2015. Bonnie worked as a nurses' aid at the Allen County Hospital for 17 years. She owned and operated East Side Tavern for 81/2 years before retiring. Bonnie was preceded in death by her two husbands; her parents; two daughters, Sharon George and Patricia Holeman; and one sister, Viona Robe. Bonnie is survived by two grandchildren, Randall Richter, Pittsburg, Kansas, and Cara Simpson, Dallas, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Kaley Lamb and husband, Jared, Olney, Illinois, Krista Simpson, Fort Scott, Kansas, and Tylor Simpson, Fort Scott, Kansas; and two great-great-grandchildren, Alaina Lamb and Lillian Lamb, Olney, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. The visitation will be followed by a graveside service and burial at 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
