There are many people that we meet in our lives but only a few make a lasting impression in our minds and hearts. It is these people that we will think of often and who will always remain a true friend forever. ~words by Susan Polis Schutz This is how I feel about my life long best friend, Gwynn. There are so many things I would like to say about her qualities. What a kind, loving, giving and selfless person she was. How strong, courageous and resilient of a special lady she was. Where her inner and outer beauty always shined within her smile, laughter and positive view of life. I am so grateful to call her my friend. And to be a part of her families life. Although the miles and years seperated us at times.the bond we shared could never be broken. Our friendship will always be cherished my friend. We grew up together, had fun together, shared our thoughts, feeling and dreams together. Kept in touch while our families grew. Never in my wildest nightmare did I ever imagine losing you here on earth from such a terrible disease. Now I have to ask myself... was I as good of friend to you as you were to me? Did I take the time to tell you or show you what our friendship really meant to me? I don't feel I did and now it's to late. Your death has opened my eyes to my short comings. I will never take life and friendships for granted again. How naive I was to believe just another treatment and you would be fine. I did not realize, I did not see, the terrible pain and sickness you endured. You were always so strong and positive. Always there for others. May you now rest peacefully, no more pain and sickness to bare. We the ones left behind will share your pain with our sorrow. Please know that you were loved by so many and will be greatly missed. But our memories of you will live on forever in our hearts and our stories. It's time for us to celebrate your life, not our loss. To Les, Trevor and Erica, You've been through so much for so long. I know there are no words to comfort your sorrow as I feel the same. Its so very hard to see tomorrow without her by our side. But we hope you know you're not alone, our thoughts and prayers are with you. So many years have passed since I last seen Gwynn I was hoping to see her this weekend but it was not to be. I remember when Gwynn got severely burnt and I would go to the hospital in the evening to give mom and Albert some time off. She was so young and in so much pain and nothing I could do. Baby sister I am sorry that we lost contact and while I am sad that you went through so many painful ordeals I am relieved that you are no longer suffering and you are in a better place.
