I am so sadden to hear of the sweetest woman I have ever known passing. Aunt Gladys you have been such a part of my life since my mom and grandmother passed. I looked forward to each birthday and Christmas to receive one of your card and beautiful long letters. I gives me such comfort to know you will be there with mom and grandma when it is my time. Love you very much Aunt Gladys.

I have many fond memories of Gladys when she would come to California to visit my Grandma Wanda and Great Grandma Anna Cramer. Gladys called me her Christmas tree. She will be greatly missed.

My favorite memory of Gladys was at my wedding. (Curious how many weddings she attended). I was walking down the aisle escorted by my dad, smacking my gum and Gladys comments, (so the whole church can hear) "Hun, stop smacking your gum!"
She was quite a lady with an amazing memory!

Such wonderful memories of Aunt Gladys over the years. Having the opportunity of growing up just down the road we spent countless hours at her house. Larry, Kendall and I pulled many shenanigans as kids, but I never really remember getting in trouble with Aunt Gladys.
Our combined family vacations to the Ozarks or Table Rock Lake, family reunions and many other events together kept us in touch almost daily as well. Aunt Gladys always had words of advice for you when visiting, and as I grew up, learned to appreciate her wisdom.
When Nancy and I first started dating, Aunt Gladys gave me orders that we stop by her house before each high school dance so she could take pictures.
As kids the one thing we always dreaded was those big kisses on the cheek Aunt Gladys would give you when leaving, but I would give anything now just to have one more from her!
She was a sweet, wonderful lady and a very special aunt who will be greatly missed!

So glad I stopped by to see Gladys when I was there in May. We had a good long visit and she was in great spirits. She and my mom (Lucille Cannon Phillips) had gone to high school together and I always loved to hear Gladys talk about all their shenanigans together. She was one of a kind. I will miss coming to see her when in Garnett. I know her and Mom are having a special reunion in heaven. God bless you Gladys!

My heart was sad when I read that Gladys passed away. I always had plans to visit when I was in Garnett and time passed and I didn't make it to see her. I go back with Gladys to 1973 when I was a patient in the Garnett hospital and Raymond and I shared a bathroom. I looked forward to her smiling face as she stuck her head through the bathroom door and said "Girls, I'm coming in". Lauree and I even went and visited them at their home. Mom said each time she saw her, Gladys would ask "How's Diana doing?"
Even as the years went by, each time I saw Gladys she was always so glad to see me and she had to give me a big hug! Her smile was radiant and really, how could you not smile back?
My deepest sympathy for the family. She will be missed I'm sure. Just know that I really truly admired and loved Gladys. One day she'll peer through the heavenly clouds at me and say "Girls, I'm coming in" and I will smile at her just as I did each time I saw her.

Prayers for all of the family. She was such a sweet lady! She always had a big smile on her face. She never said a cross word and she loved her family. She would stop you in the store just to say hello. She was always ready to chat if you stopped in at the assisted living to say hello. She lived a very full life and always kept her faith and family in everything she did. May she always live on in your hearts.
