Tara, so sorry to hear about your mom. I just got the Iola paper and read Maxine's name. She was a great lady. Loved talking to her when she would come down to mom's shop and when I would see her at the hospital. She would come down to house to Al and mom and her would visit a lot...She was a great lady Tara my prayers are with you and I want you to know the memories are also in your heart they will pop at the weirdest time..You smile and cry but they are always warm...Terese

Every time I had the pleasure of visiting with her her eyes would light we spent many hours talking about our children our grandchildren cooking her sisters and brothers the moments of love she shared an amazing strong woman thinking of others before herself she will be missed Maxine has been a mother, mentor and role model of only I could aspire to become. Oh Maxine I have something I need to tell you, until next time when we sit at the table of God we will have fried chicken and mashed potatoes, I don’t think I’ll ever eat fried chicken again without thinking of you.
