Obituary of Iva J. Stotler

Iva J. Stotler, age 85, of rural Moran, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at her home.

Iva was born to Otis A. and Eva M. (Jones) Zornes on May 7, 1933, in Mildred, Kansas.  She grew up in the Mildred and Moran area, attending school at Moran.  Iva married Walter J. Stotler on September 9, 1951 in Iola, Kansas.  This union was blessed with two sons and three daughters.  Iva and Walter lived in Iola and Colony before moving to Moran in 1976.  Iva and Walter owned and operated a variety of businesses in Colony and Humboldt for several years.  Iva also worked at Berg Manufacturing and Klein Tool.  She loved to fish and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Eva Zornes; one daughter, Joyce Howell in 2009; four brothers, Ronald, Charles Wesley “C.W.”, Calvin Dale and Orval; three sisters, Leola Vanetta, Jane Herrmann and Ada Warnock.

Iva is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Walter Stotler of the home; their children, Annetta Reed and husband Larry of Moran, Kansas, Walter Stotler Jr. and wife, Cathy of Emporia, Kansas, Eula McKee and husband Doug of Bronson, Kansas, Dewey Stotler and wife Kathy of Moran, Kansas; twelve grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; one brother, Larry Zornes and wife Sandy of Moran, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 1883 US 54 Hwy, Iola, Kansas.  The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.  You may send your condolences to the family at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
