Trent Alan Rhodes, age 41, of Iola, passed away on April 20, 2018, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Trent was born on October 7, 1976, in Iola, to Robert Leon Rhodes, Jr. and Vicki Lee Stewart Rhodes. Trent graduated from Marmaton Valley High School, Moran, Kansas, in May, 1995. Trent attended Allen Community College, Iola, Kansas, on a track scholarship. Trent worked for the Moran Golf Course, Iola Country Club golf course, B&W Truck and Trailer, Dale's Sheet Metal, and the City of Iola. Trent worked for the City of Iola for 18 years, and was currently assistant superintendent of parks and cemeteries for the city. Trent was a member of Midpoint Baptist Church, Moran, Kansas, where he was involved in the Baptist Church children's church. Trent was known for his kindness, friendliness, hugging, smiling, and his love of others. He was a Christian, and enjoyed sharing his love of Christ with others. Trent loved his children, his loving wife, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved camping, shooting guns, fixing things and figuring out how they worked, and mushroom hunt. Trent is survived by his wife, Keri, of the home; his son, Landon Trent Rhodes, of the home; his daughter, Ariel Lashae Rhodes, of the home; his parents, Robert and Vicki Rhodes, Moran; his two brothers, Austin Rhodes and wife, Haley, Carl Junction, Missouri, and Dustin Rhodes, Webb City, Missouri; two sisters, Terra Kegler and husband, Jason, Elsmore, and Kristian Resco and husband, Rylan, Moran; his father- and mother-in-law, Gary and Rhonda Daylong, Bronson; six nieces; and eight nephews. Trent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Rhodes, Sr., Alberta Jones Rhodes, Clyde Stewart, and Darlene Hunsaker Stewart. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service honoring Trent's life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola.
