Dear Steve and Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Susie's passing ... because of your loss and her knowledge of knowing she would be leaving you. I remember our young married days at Long Hill Chapel and our times together as couples and being at your apartment in Summit. Susie was a special woman and loved by so many. She was a sweet, godly and fun loving person. I loved her voice and how she spoke... her smile......she was special. I know you grieve but not as those who have no hope. Such peace in knowing she has passed into eternal life into her heavenly home.
God is your comfort and peace.

Susie was a delight to work with at Olathe Medical Center. We talked about our shared faith in Christ and how His sacrifice purchased our redemption. She was a joy and a delight to work with. I am so sorry for your loss and pray The Holy Spirit continue to comfort and heal your hearts. I know that I know we will see her and others who have passed before us, when we join them in The Presence of Our Lord!

I was so sorry to hear of Susie's passing. We took classes together while working on our MA's in the KU Theatre Department. She was such an encouragement to me when I was really struggling with the transition to grad school, and I was delighted to be able to have conversations with a sister in Christ. I know she will be greatly missed, but I am also rejoicing that she is now having the immeasurable joy of seeing Jesus face to face!

Dear Bubna Family,
I knew Sue at Brown University, and learned of her death from Gerard Coste. We were all members of the class of ‘78.
She was one of the kindest, sweetest people I met while there. We were in the same church history class, and she patiently listened to me taking on our professor on a variety of issues.
Please know how sad I am for all of you and this tremendous loss. I was hoping to see Sue at our 40th reunion this May, and believe the last time I saw her was at our 25th. There, she was as friendly and good natured as ever. Referring to our aforementioned class, she told me:
“You had guts!” She did not say I made a compelling argument...
Perhaps like you, the older I get, the more I believe in, and look forward to the resurrection. May God bless you all, and give you the hope and comfort of seeing each other again. Rest In Peace, kind, sweet, Sue! I am so grateful I met you.

Steve and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Susie, she will be greatly missed. I had met Susie before I was married to Mitchell when she subbed an accounting class that I was in at ACHS. She was always the nicest person with the biggest heart. She would always make a point to ask my mother-in-law Shirley about our son Ethan who was recently diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. When Ethan would get to his Grandma's house after preschool last year, the cats would always make a point to come across the road and see him, which was always the highlight of his day.

A wife / Mother is a very special person and while Sharon and I did not really know her, we can see from the outpouring of symphony and words of praise that she was a special person who was respected and loved by all.
We do know Steve and find him a man to respect, be proud to know and call a friend.
Having lost our Parents and having dealt with the specter of cancer a couple of times we have some feeling of what you are feeling. Death leaves a heartache than no one can heal and love leaves a memory that no one can steal.

I knew Susie, as Sue. We were in school together from 1st grade, through 12th grade. I knew her mom, dad, her brother Joe, and sister Kathy well. In our younger years, we spent a lot of time in each other’s home, and I considered her one of my best friends. I remember in first grade, we were both quite chatty and being scolded for not keeping quiet. I remember trying out for softball together. I remember preparing for an audition in third grade, and practicing the theme song from Born Free over and over again , I remember learning how to make meatloaf with her from her mom, I remember her as being tenacious and a leader in high school. I am very sad to learn of her passing, and join her family and friends in both saddness and appreciation for the spirit that is Susie, and a life well lived.

Dear Friends and Family of Sue,
The loss of Sue is heartbreaking. I was in her class at Kent Place. I was so happy to see her at our last reunion. She was as vibrant, loving, and fun as ever. In our teens, she had an infectious spirit and was often the ringleader of our student antics. Everyone loved Sue and she loved everyone. She showed us that life has many dimensions, and we should take the fullest advantage of every moment. Her loss is a sad reminder of the lessons she taught us.
Sue was special. One of a kind. The kind of person I will think about and learn from every single day.
With many condolences,

Susie was a blessing to us in our early years as Christians. Susie and Steve blessed us and encouraged us in our marriage and home!
