Obituary of Jonathan Stephen Gray
Jonathan Stephen Gray, age 44, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his home.
He was born on April 6, 1973, in Lexington, Kentucky, the son of Melvin and Vickie (Allen) Gray. Jonathan graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was an electronics and software engineer in Emporia at Hopkins Manufacturing Corporation for 23 years.
He married the love of his life, Amanda Hardwick, on August 14, 1994. They were blessed with three children.
Jon was a kind, wise and peaceful man with a great sense of humor. His greatest joys were the simple pleasures of being with his family. He loved Bible discussions, taking family vacations, camping in Arkansas, trout fishing and shooting with his children, running, building projects, and tending to his grapevines.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Gray, of the home; three children, Sarah, Luke and Nathanael Gray; two brothers, Andrew Gray of Pasadena, California and James Gray and wife Tara of Garnett, Kansas; parents, Melvin and Vickie Gray.
Jon will be so greatly missed. He was truly a gift.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Garnett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Jonathan Gray Memorial Fund.
