From my 91 year old father, Carl Berglund, of Pasadena. He writes,
"To Al Richardson's Survivors,
I read Al's obituary in the Pasadena Star News on 2-10-18.
Al and I were in the same boot camp platoon, I was 17 at the time and Al was an older leader. After boot camp we went our different ways. I graduated from U.S.C. in 1952 in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, I went to work at Cal Tech and then JPL. At JPL, we met again. We were friends and later, I joined the Toastmasters Group that Al headed up.
I worked as a Designer of Rocket Engines, Structures, Conceptual Studies, and Deep Space Antenna's and I retired in 1989. Al was a friend, and a helper along life's journey.
