Obituary of Brenda Dowling

Brenda M. Dowling, age 55, of Colony, Kansas, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018, at the Anderson County Hospital Emergency Room in Garnett, Kansas.

She was born on July 16, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Stephen G. and Barbara Dowling.

Brenda grew up in the Maryville and Skidmore, Missouri area. She graduated from Butler County Community College. Her biggest work accomplishment was a daycare and working for TOP.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

She is survived by husband, Roger Young of Augusta, Kansas; three daughters, Breanna Brockman and Elizabeth Young and Christian Altis; two sons, Dylan Young and Andrew Young; four grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie D. Patterson of Graham, Missouri; and her father, Stephen Dowling of Maryville, Missouri.

Cremation is planned. There will be no funeral as Brenda wanted people to remember her by enjoying a day of celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Colony Community Building on Friday, January 26th, 2018.
