There is nothing I can say that will ease your pain. Only time will help. You know how I felt about Barbi. Her honesty, forthrightness and seemingly endless positivity were traits I admired and appreciated. I don't think she ever met a stranger. She was opinionated, loud and sassy, and I loved her. Barb, was a true warrior, I always admired her spirit and her soul.. she had a great sense of humor and was friendly to everyone around her- I wont be able to make the services, but I wanted to express how very sorry I am that she is gone, but also know, how long she has suffered, even if she didn't show it. I told her 2 months ago how much I admired her and her strength- she was just an awesome person.. My prayers and thoughts go out to all her family-- God a got a good one! Bless all-!

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Barbi and the entire Dempster family. Unfortunately I only knew Barbi as a little, blonde haired farm girl scurrying around with her pets and making everyone smile and laugh. We were able to reconnect through Facebook and I was able to catch up on much of her life. I discovered we had a lot in common and hoped to get back together some time. Her passing affected me deeply but I'll always have memories of that little girl.

Jay, I can't even begin to express how sorry I am about Barb. She was such a great friend to me and I will always remember the good times we had together. I remember your wedding like it was yesterday! I'm sure your family will be a big help to you through this. Sounds like she fought a long hard fight. Jay and family: you were all so fortunate to have Barb in your lives. She loved you all so much and then you gave her even more joy by giving he grandchildren. She was the most open and honest woman I ever knew. She cared so much for everyone. She was a very determined individual. I was like everyone else certain that she was gonna be one of the elite and beat cancer. But it gradually wore her down. I do feel that anyone else that has to face cancer they have the best cheerleader in heaven on their side fighting right along beside them. Barb had a way of building a special bond and friendship with people. May she be now at peace watching over you all. Thank you God for giving us all the pleasure of having Barb in our lives.

Barb was my first hairdresser when I moved to Garnett14 years ago. I also took my daughter Jacqueline there. Jackie Got where she didn't want to go to anyone else. In fact, that was one of her main concerns when she got married and moved out if state..on who she would find to take barbs place... She loved Barb, as so did I. She will be sorely missed.
