My sincerest, deepest condolences to you Ms. Margaret, Ms. Jeannie, my Randy and your entire family for your tremendous loss. Max was a delightful soul to be around; I felt I knew so much about him because of Randy through his love and respect for the father he looked up to and admired so much. I know Max brought unspeakable Joy to you all and provided your family with so much love and so much laughter. Max was determined and strong, a true family man. I know he will be missed by so many. My heart, soul and prayers go out to each of you during this difficult time. I pray you can find peace and comfort in knowing Max’s legacy lives on in each of you.

May fond memories of your father bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Sending my most sincere condolences to the Max Ratliff family from Stavanger, Norway.
I have known Max since the 1941-42 school year at the Iantha country school in western Anderson Co.
After moving back to Garnett in 1997 I became re-acquainted with him, wife Margaret, son Ron and brother Bill. I have always found Max to be a gentleman and always friendly.
May your good memories of him outweigh the grief you are feeling now!!!

Ron and Randy, so sorry to hear of your Dads passing. Truly a one of a kind gentleman, prankster and sometimes just ornery. Loved messing with him at ballgames and his contagious laugh. One of my favorite people growing up. Be proud and remember all the memories he must have filled your lives with. God Bless your family.

Margaret, Ron, Christy, Randy and family,
I'm sorry to learn that Max has passed away. I can't count the number of auctions I attended where Max would goad me into buying things I really didn't need, and talk me into selling something I'd bought to someone else. He was energetic, fun and always had the crowd laughing. We thought we were in control, but I learned after many of his auctions, HE was the one in control. I hope it helps to know that others are thinking of you and wishing all of you peace. Beth (Watt) Anderson

Margaret and sons and families,
So happy for you that Max has finally not suffering anymore. He fought it for many years and you always remained at his side.
We will miss his jokes, his personality, his kisses on my cheek and his stories.
My favorite memory of Max was probably about 11 years ago and my granddaughter always came to the facility to see our family that also were there. She would always go see Max and he would give her a kiss and tell her how pretty she was. The night of the prom our 3 year old granddaughter dressed up in her princess dress, jewels and all she went to see the residents. They got enjoyment seeing her all dressed up as she came to see them. When Addi went to see Max he told her she was the most beautiful princess he had ever seen. She was so happy and he had tears in his eyes as he told he thanks for coming to see him.
Rest in peace I am sure there waiting to see you.
