Obituary of Mary Louise Saxton

Mary Louise Saxton, age 65, of Iola, Kansas, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at her home. Mary was born on April 6, 1952 to Steve and Mary M. Isaac, and made her home in Iola, Kansas. She worked for many years as a certified Surgical Technologist for Allen County Hospital and Neosho Memorial Hospital. Mary then worked as a certified Medical Assistant for Dr. Glen Carney, Dr. Gordon Sipken and Dr. Scott Coates, until her retirement in May 2017. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish in Humboldt, Kansas. Mary loved spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, being by the ocean, spending time with the grandkids, gardening, and taking care of animals. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and brother George Isaac. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, of the home; sons Mark Burton of the home, Richard E. Burton and wife, Wendy of Humboldt, Kansas, and son Paul C. Burton and wife, Linette of Colony, Kansas; daughter Ginger Burton of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and sister Regina Isaac of Reedville, Virginia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Humboldt, Kansas. Burial will follow in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Gas, Kansas. The family will greet friends following a 6:00 PM Rosary on Sunday evening, October 1, 2017, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Hwy. 54, Iola, Kansas.
