Obituary of Troy "Bud" McDaniel
Troy "Bud" Dean McDaniel, age 50, of Welda, Kansas, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas.
He was born August 29, 1966, the son of Ronald McDaniel and Elaine (Adams) Mitchell. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1984. Bud worked in construction for many years. He worked at Pro-Mechanic for two years before accepting a position at Prairie Center Plumbing, Heating and Air in Lenexa, Kansas.
Bud married Debbra Wilkinson and this union was blessed with two daughters, Ashley and Shanda. They later divorced.
He was the vice president of the Road House (the Roundabout Riders) and participated in numerous fundraiser's offered by the Road House. Bud's two passions were his family and his Harley, and took every opportunity he could to go on a ride. He made several trips to Sturgis.
Bud was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Mitchell on February 20, 2015; one sister, Rachelle McDaniel on June 2, 2015; and nephew, Clay Yoder on June 11, 2017.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shanda McDaniel of Garnett, Kansas and Ashley McCarty and husband Jeremy of Lawrence, Kansas; father, Ronald McDaniel and wife Anita of Gardner, Kansas; step-father, Carl Mitchell of Welda, Kansas; two brothers, Thane McDaniel and Randall McDaniel, both of Welda, Kansas; two sisters, Patricia Herschberger and husband Glen of Iola, Kansas and Becky Yoder and husband Ray of Welda, Kansas; five grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Garnett Church of the Nazarene, Garnett, with burial following in Glenloch Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett.
