Obituary of Juanita D Lenon

Juanita D. Lenon, age 93, formerly of Lawrence and Linwood, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Pinnacle Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, Olathe, Kansas.

She was born August 18, 1923, in Perkins, Oklahoma, the daughter of Anthony and Lucy May (Miller) Fulton. Juanita graduated from Galena High School in Galena, Missouri in 1941.

Juanita married Albert Lenon on May 9, 1945 in Chandler, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with five children.

Albert and Juanita made their home in Linwood, Kansas and worked diligently to establish the Bonner Springs Church of Christ. They were a part of the founding membership of the congregation and were life-long members there. Following Albert's death in in 1979, Juanita moved several times living in Edwardsville, Garnett, Parsons, Eudora, Welda and Bonner Springs.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lucy Fulton; husband Albert Lenon; sisters Ethelia Nixon and Belle Long; and two adult grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Lenon of Brandon, Mississippi; Dennis Lenon of Rogers; Arkansas; Walter Lenon of Independence, Missouri; Jeff Lenon of Booneville, Arkansas; and Jan Long of Olathe, Kansas. She has 9 surviving grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on May 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Bonner Springs Church of Christ, 419 E. Morse Ave., Bonner Springs, Kansas 66012.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Bonner Springs Church of Christ.
