Betty, If I could take away the pain I surely would. Buckwheat was such a sweet person with a big heart. He had the biggest smile of anyone I knew. My heart hurts for you. I pray that the Lord gives you comfort and peace. I wrote a little something to you. I will get it to you. It is like my tribute to Buckwheat. My kids loved him so much. He was just part of the family. God Bless You Betty. Love, Kate (Hermreck) Phillips

Joe Joe~ You have no idea how much you will be missed. Especially by friends near & far. You have what most people don't, an amazing personality & you never passed judgement on people if you were told something different about a person. You always found out for yourself. You were honest, sweet, caring, & an absolute blast to be around. I remember allot of times we had down by 12th street & reservoir hang outs. Your such a great friend. Its hard to be sad because 1.) You said once that, you would want everyone just to throw a huge party & remember the good times. 2.) My faith in God is so strong, I know I will see you again. He had to have better plan for you, why we will never know... But, I'm sure I have a few good ideas.
Betty~ I'm so sorry for your loss!! I know nothing anyone says here or to you will never change or take away the way you feel right now. A mother losing a child is the worst thing to go through whether we are young or old. Parents want to out live their children. I have lost 5 family member's & friends in the last 2 1/2 months. Its sucks beyond words can describe. I think I had heard the smartest thing said at my grandpa's funeral. "On our headstones, its not the year we were born thats important or the date that we died... Its the dash in between that represents the years that we lived.." Joe Joe lived, he lived like no other person I seen in a long time. He knew the meaning of life... Family, Friends, then he dealt with things that needed to be. His ambition was so strong! He's an amazing person. He might of left us right now, but we will see him again on the other side. R.I.P Buckshot, we all know your sporting those wings really well!! Prayers are with the family at this time. Kendra & Family

Betty, we are so sorry to hear about Joe. The best memorial for him would be to try to improve ourselves as Joe was trying to do. I'm sure Imogene was waiting up there to hug him tight! May you find peace and comfort to get thru this, I can't imagine what you are going thru right now but know that Joe loved his mama dearly.

Betty - My thoughts and prayers are with you at this unbelieveable time. May God be with you in the coming days and wrap His loving arms around you. I know Joe through my kids and they always spoke highly of him. He was a dear friend to Aaron and when Joe would come to the house during their high school years, he always showed me respect. You did him well Betty. Growing up in our little town for him to be such a strong person and such a friend to those around him is a great testimony to how he was raised. My kids have told me of Joe's past troubles and how he had turned his life around recently. I admire him for that and being the witness he can be for others to show them it is never too late to change. I hope others will continue to reach for their own hopes and dreams and make them come true as Joe set that example. What a legacy! God bless you Betty!

Tim and I had the opportunity to meet and work with Joe while at AGC. And just like his facebook page says...he would do anything for a friend and I experienced this first hand. Despite some personal challenges he continued to pick himself up and keep a positive attitude. Joe had a contagious spirit about him that will be missed. Our condolences to his family.

There are way to many memories to pick just one, Joe was one of the funnest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He took me to my second concert, Eminem, where we jumped the gates together and got 4 rows closer, that was a pretty fun time. He was always at any of my get togethers everything from graduation to my wedding. I will miss you Bucky.

Words cannot express the sadness that we all share and the hole in our hearts by the passing of Joe. I remember the brightness that he brought to the room when he was at the house or running around with Nick and Marty. He was his own candle that lit up the room and that everyone appreciated having around. I hope that you know that we all will miss him greatly.
