Brooke R. Kendall, 71, of Osage City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was born Oct 8, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Rev. Robert B. and Marian L. Kendall. He graduated from Baker University and served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier USS KittyHawk. He was a skilled heavy equipment mechanic. His specialty was the Case IH machinery, but he worked on all. Brooke worked all over the state of Kansas. In his retirement, he enjoyed boating, working on his Corvette and taking his dog Sammy for a ride in the truck. Survivors include a daughter, Alicia R. Woodson and husband Larry of Grandview, Texas; a son, Travis L. Kendall and his wife LaShonda of Emporia, Kansas; grandson, Layton A. Kendall of Emporia, Kansas; and sister, Kathy L. Foster and husband Jim of Overbrook, Kansas. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 14th , 2017, at the Moran Cemetery, Moran Kansas.
