I will miss Sara so much - she was a very special person and a most valued co-worker. I loved calling the school and hearing her voice answering the phone. Her stories were always the best and always made me laugh. I have some very fond memories of many years back going to softball games and sitting with Sara - it was always a great time!!! RIP Sara!!

Sara would have been very humbled for sure, in knowing how much love has been expressed through the many condolences & memories shared on her behalf.

Dear Trish and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. There are many things I remember about your mom but I think her soft and sweet voice followed by a chuckle and smile or stern look depending on the circumstances is probably the clearest memory I still have of her.

My heart goes out to the family. I so enjoyed Sara's humor and stories on the road going to meetings in Greenbush. She always made me smile and chuckle. I know everyone that knows her will miss her. Heaven is lucky to have her for an angel.

I am so deeply saddened and sorry for your loss! Sara was the first person I met at GEC when I began my teaching career there in 2001. She was a godsend! If there was anything I needed, she was there to help me! She had my girls, then ages 5 and 9, convinced that there was a pool on top of the school building. I worked there for three years before moving on to a new school. In 2009 I began reading recovery training and Sara knew who I was when I walked in the door! I swear she knew everyone!!! She was a lovely lady- inside and out! She will forever be a cherished memory to me and my girls. God bless you all and hold you in his loving arms during your time of sorrow!

Dear Gary and Girls,
It doesn't seem possible that Sara is gone. I will always remember her quick wit and dry sense of humor. She could take the worst day and give me something to laugh about. Gary, Trish, Maggie and Emilie,
Words cannot express the sadness my whole family feels over Sara's passing! She took care of me while I was attending Irving and both of my boys at Garnett Elementary Center. She always had a smile and a kind word and I always enjoyed visiting with her when I saw her out in the community as I became an adult and had my own kids. She will leave an enormous void at the school as well as our community. Please know that you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers. She was one very special lady!
