Devyn, I miss you so much. I talk to you all the time, and I can feel your presence all around me. I can't however feel your hugs or hear your voice or see your smile any longer. I have my memories and lots pictures of you, which I am so glad we took and that I have. I wish I knew exactly what took place on the day and the days leading up to when you died. With time, we will learn more I am confident. I hope that you are at peace and I can invision you smiling from up above. You were such a good-looking liitle boy and then a man. I miss your big hugs, I miss you picking up your "midget mommy" and seeing you happy. You had such a beautiful smile and had the biggest heart. You were loved by so many and will be missed by so many as well. Love your mom forever

My Nephew Devyn Lee My nephew Devyn Lee The little blonde haired boy who came to live with us when he was two. We loved you to pieces even when you dumped a can of grease on the carpet. Devyn Lee the little boy who got out of the house and Was found on Gibbs Road by a neighbor. We were so glad you were found before you were harmed. My nephew was an ornery and a happy little boy. My nephew Devyn Lee loved to play outdoors, explore and tease others. We went camping down by the creek. We had a good time. My nephew Devyn Lee took a test on the internet. He was proud to show me he achieved a “genius” score. We were glad when you graduated from high school. My nephew Devyn Lee liked to push the envelope and made some poor decisions. He didn’t know what he wanted to do in life. I asked him what do you like to do? He said, “Aunt Sherri, I don’t know.” My nephew Devyn Lee I am so glad you joined us for lunch on Mother’s Day. You loved and respected me and I loved and respected you. You made me laugh and I hoped you would find success. My nephew Devyn Lee had some obstacles to overcome. He didn’t know how much he was loved. My nephew Devyn Lee you will be missed. Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten. You are loved. Love Aunt Sherri

He was a friend of my daughter's and would do anything to help others. I had the honor of him living with me and my family for just a short period of time. I think of him daily and it's always the little things that reminds me of what a good kid he was. I love you Devyn and you are sorely missed. We want to extend our sympathy on the loss of your family member. We personally did not have the pleasure of getting to be part of Devyn's life. But I did get to watch Sherry, Toby and Duane grow up. I got to be the babysitter on a few occasions and we had so much fun. I know that Gail and Beverly were great parents and grandparents so you were blessed to have them in your lives. We all make mistakes in our lives. I do not honestly know of anyone that can say they are perfect. Devyn maybe had some things in his life that he chose the wrong path. We are not to judge or criticize how he maybe led his life. But I believe in my heart that he is forgiven and with God now. I can see Gail and him in heaven watching down on all of you. Please try to find some peace and keep the love you had for him always in your hearts. Don't let his death destroy your lives. May you find comfort in the days and weeks to come.

We only got to know Devyn this year as he would come to our store for lunch. He was so proud when he got his job at the Mexican restaurant, he was so happy to work there. I'm sad that I won't get to see him any more, and even more sad knowing now how he must have suffered and struggled with saddeness, depression and who knows what else. He was always polite, courteous, and easy to talk to, a side some people must not have seen much of. I think we probably all have a dark side to our lives, and we don't want to be judged or remembered by that, we want to be remembered for the good we have done. That's how I will remember Devyn.
