Shortly after we were married we moved to a small rental home at Scipio on the same road that Mark and Joan lived on. Mark drove by daily on his way to Greeley BEHM to go to work. Joan was busy keeping things going on the farm for several years before she also took a job at the Courthouse in Garnett. They would always honk or wave as they went by our little home. And always had beautiful smiles when they entered church to attend mass on Sunday. They were very hard working but also liked to have fun. I think their joyous laughs are some of our fondest memories. They raised a wonderful family together. And now it saddens us to think their is just a Joan without Mark. They just were such a great influence on all the families at St. Boniface we all wanted that special bond those two had. We believe that even thou Mark isn't sitting at home on the farm in his easy chair he is still going to be beside Joan, Chris, Dan, Peg, Mary and all the spouses and grandchildren. Mark is going to be that special guardian angel that is there for each of you as you continue though your journeys in this life. And one day again you will all be reunited in heaven with Mark he may be plowing the fields in heaven or milking the cows in the land of milk and honey. He is pain free and sitting in that easy chair waiting with God.
