I am saddened to hear that Jim has passed, he was such an advocate for Bulldog sports and it was irrelevant if it was the boys or girlls playing. He is huge part of every Anderson County Athletes memory.... God gained good one that's for sure!

Frank and I are so saddened to learn of Jim's passing. When our boys were growing up Jim could be seen at most of the junior high and high school football and basketball games. This meant so much to everyone and my boys were quick to mention that they spotted him in the crowd. Our youngest son helps coach several different sports through the Garnett Recreation program and he always talked to your dad and shook his hand, thanking him for continuing to support the kids in this community. He was a wonderful man, so kind and caring. His quiet manner earned him many friends over the years.
We will miss him but will always remember what he meant to Garnett.
Blessings to you and your families.

There will never be another Jim. He gave so much to our community youth. He was always at the ball field. gym. stadium, track, ready to give pats on the back, words of encouragement and whatever the kids needed when they came off the field. I think he knew how much the youth cared about him...they always surrounded him! RIP Jim...you will not be forgotten!

My daughter texted me at midnight last night to tell me about Jim. She was so sad, even though she never had Jim as a coach. But she knew him through her friends who were coached by Jim and whose basketball games Jim never missed through their junior high and high school careers. It was always so heartwarming to see him sitting in the stands as a lifelong fan of our students! His presence will definitely be missed!

We so enjoyed going to the auctions and visiting with your parents at them. If we did not know what something was or what it was valued at we could trust them to give me the right answer.
He was a community man. Always at sporting events. He always had a kind word.
May he rest in peace in heaven with Claudia his love.

Jim was probably the most wonderful person I have ever met! There was not a sporting event that he did not attend. He was at nearly every event when I was in high school in the 1990s and it has been so wonderful seeing and talking with him at my children's events in the past few yeras. Such a positive person and always made all of us feel so special. All of Garnett will miss our biggest fan! RIP Jim and thank you!
