Christa left us too early. I know I am stating the obvious but it is so painfully true in her case. There is a missing cog in the Hermreck clan descended from Chris and Catherine Hermreck now. Christa's love of family was quite contagious. I am very proud to be related to all my uncles, aunts and cousins. And Christa was our goodwill ambassador and head cheerleader. I believe that her loss will be felt even more deeply as time goes on. Love you Christa and thanks for countless memories through the years since I met you upon our move to Kansas in '66 and we started the 6th grade together. Peace to you, cuz, BILL

Our deepest sympathy and prayers at this time. Christa always had a twinkle in her eyes and was always happy to visit. She was the first to visit the evening Hannah was born, so happy and full of life. Perhaps her angel wings will be on the fields and courts of her favorite teams, she is a super fan. Christa never knew a stranger.
She talked to everyone, no matter their status or age, etc.
If she meant you once, she remembered you forever.

RJ and the rest of the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will truly miss my chats with Christa. My heart is breaking for all of you. I am on vacation and will not be able to attend her funeral. I will miss her so much. We worked many years together. I stopped in 2010 to see her in Rawlins and we planned another visit next year. I am happy I saw her in Garnett this past spring. May God continue to give you comfort and peace.

My dearest family -
I am heartbroken by the death of Christa, but I'm certain that doesn't even describe the pain that you all are in losing her. Even though I didn't grow up knowing all of you, from the minute we all met thru Facebook and then at the family reunion, it was the culmination of my grandma Teresa's dream that I would know the love of my family in Kansas. Christa represented all of that in her life and love for family. She was always checking on me to make sure I was ok, and was so happy for the adoption of Julianna. She was very supportive and caring about all of those in her life. I know that she is enjoying the beautiful family reunion with all of those that have gone before us and celebrating with a batch of cinnamon rolls and great conversations. My thoughts and prayers and heart are with you during this time and always. I love you.

So sorry to hear of Christa's passing. I met her in 1976 when I worked in medical records and she worked as a nurses aide. She was always so friendly and fun to talk with. For many years, I didn't see her, but when I did, we always had a good visit. My husband and I saw her at the post office this summer, and she was just the same as always! Deepest sympathy to all of her family, I know you were all very dear to her. She will be missed.

Colette, Collin, Courtney, and Cara,
Christa was the first person we trusted to babysit our new baby in 1977. She was such a loving and caring young woman and remained that way all her life. We are so saddened that one of you has gone on. So used to seeing pictures of five smiling faces. I do like the picture in my mind though of three smiling faces, together again.
No matter what happens, love remains. Nothing can take that away.

I just read in the newspaper that Christa had passed away. She was a phenomenal lady. I went to school with her at Holy Angels and GHS. She was a grade behind me. Christa was a year younger than me and when I knew her I was from Greeley. Christa was such a personable fun loving lady to be around. It is still surreal that Christa is really gone......no more birthday parties, movie night or get togethers with classmates/friends!
I remember being amazed that she had over 1500 friends on (one of her 4 fb accounts) facebook.....but probably half were family!!
Whenever we talked, it always came up "oh they're my cousin"......blessed family!
So glad we got to attend her farewell party before she moved to Wyoming......last time to see her.

To all the Hermreck families and to the Griffiths families we want to extend our sympathies. I grew up with the Hermreck family. I was named after your Mom (Connie) and very proud of that.
All of the Feuerborn kids and Hermreck kids attended Holy Angels School. Christa was a grade a head of me but since we shared the same classroom 1-2 and 3-4 and 5-6 and 7-8 grades we were all pretty close to each other.
Christa wore that heavy brace on her back for so many years so she wasn't able to participate in all the recess activities. But she was right their beside us all in the things she could do.
We continued to Garnett High School and Christa was a class ahead of me. But we still saw each other daily sometimes she had some friends over to the house for lunch because it was only a block away.
Since we all grew up and raised families it was so nice to visit and compare stories about our grandchildren. I will miss Christa. She was not a stranger to anyone. If she met you she remembered you.
So during your times of reminiscing I am sure you are going to have a lot of stories to tell. Enjoy those memories and remember Christa had a heart of gold. May God bless her and all of you.. Love, Connie
