I just learned of Brooksy's death. The last time I saw Brooksy was at Iola Pharmacy when we were both picking up meds. I met Brooksy in the early 70's through my mother who was a friend of his. He came to my mother's funeral when she unexpectedly died in '81. His presence met so much to me. I wish I had learned of his passing so I could pay my respects to him. After my mothers death, I moved back to Kansas & we often ran into each other. I will always remember him as such a kind, gentle, friendly man. His friendship to my husband & myself was priceless. It's too bad that there are not more people in the world like Clifford Brooks. It was an honor to know him & call him a friend.
