I was very sorry to hear about Rick's passing. We had lots of good times together in high school. He was a good friend to me and I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his family during this sad time.

I am very sorry to here about Rick's passing, we were best buddies from1st grade clear through High School we even took turns taking each other to school when one of us was grounded so we wouldn't have to ride the bus. Even after school we had fun with pretty much with any thing that had wheels on it , we did a lot of boating & skiing too, Lots & Lots of great memories. Haven't been in touch in the past few years ,very sad for that. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.

My deepest sympathy to Linda and family - Rick was a good friend to us and stayed in touch with Gary. When Gary had surgery and wasn't able to be at the body shop Rick was there. We couldn't have done it without him. I hope he knew how much that meant to us. We will miss him greatly.

We would like to extend our sympathies to all the Ahring families. When we were young kids Margie Ahring and my Mom both had to use the Laundromat in Garnett. We had a ringer washer and a cistern for water at home but there were many times we needed the Laundromat. Our Mom's used to talk about meeting there all the time. There was a little Brown colored coin operated horse that we would take turns riding on. And Rick was always tagging along most of the time with his Mom so we got to know each other there. Later on as school began we would sometimes have the opportunity to ride the same bus route. And renewed our friendship. After that there were different occasions at dances, parties or whatever we would run onto each other and catch up. He always had to smile and visit when I saw him. I wish you peace old friend. Maybe we will meet at the Laundromat in heaven..
