When I think of my humble beginnings as a singer, I always remember the special couple who took interest in my music and encouraged me. Bob and Virginia Weatherman befriended me and followed me all across the countryside as I performed in Kansas and then in Branson, Mo. I remember driving to Branson for a big performance and along the way seeing The Weatherman's parked on the side of the highway. They were making the trip to watch me perform. Virginia was quick to inform us that all was well but Bob's water pill had kicked in!!! We laughed and teased about that for many years.
I am truly saddened to hear of Virginia's passing. We have seen each other in the last year. I am sure glad to have never lost touch. 91 years is a wonderfully long life here on earth. However, I know she is in heaven with the Lord and Bob. That alone brings me comfort and a smile. I know I will see them again.
Prayers of strength and comfort for the family. Thank you for sharing this wonderful woman with so many. She was a blessing to me in my life.
