I worked with Virginia at the McCullough law firm in Topeka in the 1960's. She moved away after she married Leon and I had not seen her for many years. Fortunately, two years ago her sister Berva invited me to their 4th of July family reunion and I enjoyed visiting with Virginia and catching up on our families. She made wonderful pies and I enjoyed a piece at this family gathering. She was a dear person. May God wrap his arms around her and welcome her to paradise.

Dear friends, We were so saddened to see the notice a few minutes ago that Virginia had suddenly passed away. We are planning to be at "her" church in a few weeks and had anticipated seeing her along with others we count as "faithful friends." Your wife, mother, sister, grandmother, was a kind woman whose faithfulness to you, to those of us who knew her, and to her church and community will be missed. Virginia often expressed appreciation for work or help anyone gave at the church. She so totally loved her family, always wanting the best for them. She was not a prideful woman, but she was so rightfully proud of the accomplishments and good judgment of each of her loved ones. We typically heard from Virginia around Christmastime after our years there and liked receiving the updates about her children's activities and those grandchildren. She was a thoughtful person with heartwarming ways, including being interested in our children's lives after we moved away. We are pleased we could call each other friends. Dearest Friends, Sorry to learn of the passing of Virginia. She was a wonderful person that came into our lives many years ago when she stayed and took care of my Mother, Violet Fowkes. Our prayers and thoughts are with each and everyone of you during this time. Berva so glad you came a few days ago to tell us of Virginia's battle with cancer. God has received another angel and is rejoicing with the many love ones who have gone on before. My Mom will be one of the first to welcome her at heavens doors. God Bless you all.
