I was very sorry to see that Dick had died last year. I remember him well from our months working together at National Guard HQ in 1984. He was a bit "crusty," and we didn't always see eye-to-eye, but I knew he was a good person and I enjoyed "sparring" with him. My favorite memory of him is how he reacted when I decided to do him a "favor" and clean his coffee cup! How was I to know that was a sacrilege? I'm happy to see he went on to a good life after his retirement, which does not surprise me in the least. Rest in peace, Dick. You have been and will continue to be missed.
