Obituary of Charles Young
Charles Stanley Young, 77, of Humboldt, Kansas, died Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
Charles was born January 10, 1938, in Osage, Oklahoma, the son of John and Annie (Walters) Young. He grew up in the Cleveland, Oklahoma area where he graduated from high school in 1957. He served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army as a paratrooper from June 1957 to March 1960.
On May 31, 1963, Charles married Kathleen Wyvonne Bearpaw in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They made their home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma until moving to Humboldt in 1967. He worked for Sinclair Pipeline and retired as station operator for ARCO Pipeline. Kathy preceded him in death November 12, 2009.
Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church in Humboldt.

5 Grandchildren: Garrett Fitzmaurice, Jordan Young, Kassidy Young, Taylor Fitzmaurice & Kindahl Young
2 Great Grandchildren: Braxton & Hallie Fitzmaurice
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathleen, and 4 siblings, Mary Alderson, Kathryn Anglin, Edward and Jim Young.
VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Humboldt, KS
BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, KS
