Ronald " R. J. " West, Jr., 54, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, November 2, 2014, at his home. R. J. was born November 24, 1959, in Bellingham, Washington, the son of Ronald J. and Donnalee ( Dux ) West, Sr. The family lived in numerous communities before moving to Iola in 1984. On November 16, 1985, he married Stacy Lee Spencer and they made their home in Iola. R. J. worked as a driller in the oil fields for thirty-five years. SURVIVORS: Wife; Stacy Lee West 2 sons; Robert West and Austin Sicka 1 daughter; Nicole West 2 sisters; Rebecca Paulman and Gayle Stende 3 grandchildren; Ryan J. West, Ashlynn and Caden Sicka Mother-in-law; Patty Spencer of Colony Brother-in-law; Mark Spencer Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 7th at the Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.
