Obituary of Leo Weber

Leo A. Weber, 85, of Bronson, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Moran Manor. Leo was born July 28, 1924, at rural Yates Center, Kansas, the son of John C. and Mary (Bruggeman) Weber. He grew up in the Piqua area until the family moved to a farm east of Humboldt. He farmed with his father for 26 years. On March 1, 1966, Leo married Bernadine E. Speer at Girard, Kansas. They made their home on their farm southeast of LaHarpe for the next 41 years. Besides farming, Leo also worked at Klein Tool at Moran for 17 years. They moved to Bronson two years ago. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Iola and St. John's Knights of Columbus. SURVIVORS: Wife: Bernadine Weber of the home 1 Son: Eugene Leo Weber & wife, Debra of Bronson, KS 1 Daughter: Sharon Harclerode & husband, James of Bronson, KS 5 Grandchildren: Sheila Weber, Mark, Matthew, Elizabeth & John Harclerode 4 Sisters: Pauline Riebel of Humboldt, KS; Eleanor Riebel & husband, Ed of Iola, KS; Margaret Karr of Iola, KS; and Margie Riebel & husband, Earl of LaHarpe, KS He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helena Weber and Theresa Riebel. VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, Kansas ROSARY & MASS: The parish rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2009, followed by the mass at 10:30 a.m. both at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. The Reverend Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant.
