Obituary of Bernadine Weber

Bernadine E. Weber, 75, of Fort Scott, Kansas, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Bernadine was born March 22, 1939, in Monmouth, Kansas, the daughter of William and Ruby (Brennecke) Speer. She grew up near McCune and graduated from Cherokee High School. She worked as a telephone operator in Kansas City before marrying Leo A. Weber on March 1, 1966 in Girard, Kansas. They made their home on a farm southwest of LaHarpe for 41 years. Bernadine has worked for IMP Boats and Thompson Poultry in Iola and recently has been a caregiver for the elderly in their homes. Leo preceded her in death September 9, 2009. She resided in Bronson before moving to Ft. Scott. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Sharon Harclerode & husband, James of Bronson, Kansas 2 Sisters: Dorothy Manson of Wichita and Margie Elliot of Riverside, CA 1 Brother: Voral Manson of Moran, KS 5 Grandchildren: Mark, Matthew, Elizabeth & John Harclerode and Sheila Weber She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Eugene Leo "Gene" Weber and his wife Debbra, and brothers Leon and Delbert Manson.
