Obituary of Linda Walter
Linda Kay Walter, 66, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, at her home.
Linda was born July 30, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Patrick and Patricia Lea (Adams) Shields and was the oldest of eight children. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she graduated from St. Teresa Academy.
In 1966 she married Larry Macha in St. Joseph, Missouri and in 1975 they moved to Iola. They had two children, Jennifer and Bob. In 1996, Linda married Dr. Earl Walter and the marriage resulted in uniting two families for 17 happy years.
Linda obtained a bachelor's degree in business management and worked as an office manager. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Coterie Club.
She was known for her loving personality and great Christian faith with her life revolving around her family, especially the grandchildren.

VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at St. John's Parish Hall in Iola.
FUNERAL MASS: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS: Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) or Allen County Hospice.
Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
