Obituary of Beverly Middleton
Beverly J. Taylor-Middleton, 74, of Iola, Kansas, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.
Beverly was born May 28, 1937, at Adrian, Minnesota, the daughter of Raymond and Iva (Baumann) Lawrence. She grew up at Adrian and graduated valedictorian of the Adrian High School Class of 1955.
On June 20, 1955, Beverly married Lloyd Paul Taylor at St. Adrian Catholic Church. They made their home in Adrian and Park Rapids, Minnesota, before moving to Iola in 1965. Lloyd preceded her in death on September 26, 1998. Beverly married Benjamin C. Middleton on September 30, 2000, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, and they made their home in Iola.
She has worked as a bookkeeper for the City Of Iola, Colt Energy, KIKS Radio and St. John's Catholic Church. Her memberships include St. John's Catholic Church and Altar Society, Kappa Alpha Chapter of Phi Tau Omega, and the American Legion Auxiliary where she has been a member for 38 years and served as past president.
Beverly loved sports and followed the games of her sons and grandchildren.

1 Sister: Raedelle Wallace of Kennewick, Washington
14 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and 12 Step-Grandchildren
VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
ROSARY & MASS: The parish rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, followed by the celebration of the mass at 10:30 a.m., both at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery at Ft. Scott, Kansas
MEMORIAL CHOICES: The Beverly Taylor Athletic Funds for Humboldt USD 258, Andover Central High School or Emporia High School.
