Dalia was one of the sweetest, most spirited, strong willed people I know. When I transferred high schools she was the first person to try and make me feel like I belonged. We'd wait outside of the school for our parents to pick us up, and sometimes just walk to the library after school and hangout. We may not have hung out all of the time, but the small moments we got together, we're the ones that will tug my heart strings forever. A friend is not someone you have to constantly be with, every second of every day. Dalia was a friend to me by always being there whenever anyone needed anything, smiling, hoping in any way that she might be able to change the way your day was going. I can't thank her enough, for being my friend. For being such a beautiful person. For showing me what a true friend means. And I'll pray that someday, when we meet again, she'll know how grateful I am for all the kindness she showed me, for seeing me for who I was and still wanting to be my friend. It's not goodbye, it's see you later. Until then-fly high sweet angel. Show heaven how beautiful you are.
