Obituary of Marjorie Seibolt

Marjorie Ruth "Marge" Seibolt, of Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at her home at the age of 80. Marjorie was born March 11, 1931, at Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Gilbert and Cecil (Wells) Munson. She grew up in Garnett and graduated from Garnett High School. On June 20, 1953, Marjorie married Bernard P. Seibolt in Kansas City, Missouri. They made their home in Kansas City where she was a homemaker and raised four daughters. Marge also worked as an Avon Lady for 15 years. Her husband preceded her in death on November 29, 1985. Marge moved to Iola in 1993. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, and the Christian Womens Fellowship. Marge enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending local sporting events, the Iola Band Concerts and events at the Bowlus Fine Arts Center. SURVIVORS: 3 Daughters: Jean R. Burnett & husband, Mike of Austin, Texas, Julie A. Ulisse & husband, Fred of Chelsea, Michigan, and Janelle S. Smith & husband, Bill of Grandview, Missouri 1 Brother: Charles "Bud" Munson & wife, Joyce of Leawood, Kansas 3 Grandchildren: Paul, Kolya and Ted A number of nieces and nephews including a local niece, Judy Snavely and husband, John of Iola, Kansas She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Jacqueline M. Seibolt in 2006, two sisters, Virginia Lord and Fern Blazek, and an infant brother, Harold Munson. VISITATION & ROSARY: Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, with the rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. FUNERAL MASS: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. The Reverend Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri MEMORIAL: American Cancer Society Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
