Obituary of Wanda Robb

Wanda Louise Robb, 72, passed away at her home in Iola, on the 18th of November, 2013 at 12:45 a.m. Wanda was born on July 7, 1941, the daughter of Ewalt and Laura Buchholz of Moran. Wanda grew up in Moran, Kansas and graduated from Moran High School where she played the clarinet in the school band. She later graduated from Neosho Community College with a LPN degree. While working hard at her job and raising her two children she earned an RN degree at Penn Valley College in KC, MO. She then worked at the VA hospital in KC, MO. Wanda married E.S. Robb in 1992 and moved to Iola, Kansas. She was an active member of the Iola Baptist Temple and served in various capacities. Wanda and E.S. loved to travel, finding new fishing spots along the way. Working in their garden and then canning and freezing the produce was a great enjoyment for Wanda. Many Saturdays were spent with Wanda and E.S. attending garage sales and auctions. Wanda also enjoyed doing various arts and craft projects. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents - Ewalt and Laura Buchholz, her brother Thurman Buchholz and a stillborn daughter, Deborah Leanne Baker. She is survived by her husband of the home, E.S. Robb, daughter Teresa Westergren and husband Chuck, son Nathan Baker and his wife Kim, Rick Robb and wife Becky, Chris Robb and wife Karen, 7 grandchildren - Christina Baker, Kim Ngan, Jasmine Baker, J.D. Robb, Katherine Trego, Anna and Kirsten Robb,and two brothers Donald Keith Buchholz and Larry Buchholz. FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, KS MEMORIAL: Iola Baptist Temple Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
