Marvin William Roberts, 79, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, December 7, 2008, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Marvin was born Nov. 5, 1929, at rural Welda, Kansas, to Orson John and Alma May (Palmer) Roberts. A family visitation was held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Following cremation, inurnment will be in the Garnett Cemetery. Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel, Iola, is in charge of arrangements.
