Obituary of Keith Robson
Alonzo Keith Robson peacefully passed away on September 17, 2015 at his home. He was 75 years old.
He was born on December 9, 1939 in Yellville, Arkansas the son of Adam Alonzo and Ila Marie (Helms) Robson. The family moved to Yates Center, Kansas when Keith was 4 years old. He attended school at Yates Center and graduated from High School in 1957. Upon graduating from high school he had many accomplishments including hauling hay, being a police officer, owning and operating Daylight Donuts, coaching baseball, and being a carpenter. He owned his own carpentry/tree trimming business until a massive heart attack in 2009 caused him to retire. He was a member of the Yates Center United Methodist Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, watching KU basketball, Royals baseball, Chiefs football and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He married Cathy Burk on August 19, 1980 and they were blessed with three children Megan, Savannah, and Benjamin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Sharon K. Robson, Bonnie Roeder, Carolyn Crupper, and Samuel Robson. Keith is survived by his wife Cathy, his three children Megan (Matt) Sterling of Overland Park, KS, Savannah Robson of Yates Center, KS, and Ben Robson of Yates Center, KS; siblings Nettie (Lee) Crouch of Kansas City, KS, Peggy Reed of Littleton, CO, Norma Jean (Norman) Kasper of Jacksonville, Arkansas, one grandson Austin Sterling whom Keith was very proud of, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the Yates Center United Methodist Church with the services following at 11:00. The Reverend Howard Wright will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Yates Center Cemetery.
