Obituary of Harold Palmer
Harold William Palmer, 85, of rural LaHarpe, Kansas, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Allen County Regional Hospital.
Harold was born November 5, 1928, in Eureka, Kansas, the son of Guy and Nina (Wagner) Palmer. He graduated from Longton High School and then farmed. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1954 he began construction work.
In 1959, Harold married Doris Helen Skaggs and they made their home in Wichita. Along with construction work he became a member of Local #101 International Union of Operating Engineers whom he later worked for before retiring in 1989. In 1992 they made their home on a farm south of LaHarpe where he farmed and raised cattle. Mrs. Palmer preceded him in death March 20, 2005.
His memberships include the American Legion, National Rifle Association and Kansas Livestock Association.
