Obituary of Kevin Murry
Darold Kevin Murry, 52, of Gas/Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kevin was born September 1, 1959, in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Darold and June (Herron) Murry. He grew up in the Iola and Gas areas and graduated from Iola High School in 1977. He had one child, Dustin, born February 3, 1981 with Jeannette Osborne (Hegwald) and they later divorced.
Kevin has worked for Hillenburg Oil, Sigg's Auto, and owned and operated Fore & Aft Yacht Repair with his son, Dustin in Chanute. He has worked for Cox Communications for over 20 years where he was currently an engineer.
On May 23, 2008, Kevin married Charlotte D. (Gumfory) Chester in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They made their home in Gas.
Kevin attended Covenant of Faith in Iola, and enjoyed building and operating radio controlled airplanes with his son, gardening and traveling to Branson, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June Murry in 1982.
VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate.
BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, KS
