I am so sorry to hear of Max's passing. I remember the days when my sister was renting your upstairs apartment just down the road from your big yellow house. We would walk and talk and always admired your house and how devoted you seemed as a couple. It was refreshing to see you together. I always thought that "this is what love should look like". I will definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family! What a terrible loss! I know that Max is looking down on us and saying, "Don't worry, I am with my Heavenly Father!" I was blessed to have Dusti, Matt and Lacy in my class at Lincoln School and what wonderful kids you have, Janet. I know your family will draw on your faith at this difficult time!

I am sorry for your family's loss. I knew Max through the taxidermy shop. After seeing Max suffer for the last year or 2 with his back pain, I was so happy for him that he was able to get back to a life he enjoyed. He truly enjoyed his hunting & trapping. He loved his family deeply. He had a special place in his heart for each & every one of you. Hold on to all thoughs wonderful memories & I hope that you can get some comfort in knowing he was a good hearted, down to earth person. He will be truly missed.

Sorry for your loss. Max was a very good man and will be missed greatly. The one thing about death for a guy like Max is we can all take comfort in knowing where his soul rests. I think it is clear the influence Max had on people by the shear number of people who came to show their respect. God bless!

My sympathy goes out to you and your family for the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Keep his memories alive with the love in your heart! ((Hugs))

Janet & Family: We have not met and I had not seen Max in many, many years but we were best of friends for many wonderful years growing-up together in Mulvane. His passing has triggered Norman Rockwell-like memories of his parents, his brothers and life at their rural home. So many great memories. In reading his obituary it is clear, and no coincidence, that Max chose the same life for himself and his family. I am sorry for your loss.

Janet and family, I am so very sorry. Max was a wonderful, caring person and this world will be a dimmer place without his presence. He was unselfish and gave to others without a second thought, as he did many times for my family and me. I will miss hearing stories of his grandchildren, which he loved to share – he loved you all very much. He was not only a co-worker, but also a dear friend that I will truly miss. I am thankful that he knew Jesus as his Savior and we will see him again someday. May God hold you in His arms and give you all comfort and peace.

My deepest sympathies goes out to Janet, Matt, Dusti, Lacey, the grandkids and the rest of his family. Max will be deeply missed by all as he has touched so many lives with his love, friendship and unselfishness. Max was more than a great friend or co-worker to me...he was like a father and big brother all rolled up into one. He was always there for me...whether it was helping me lay kitchen tile or someone I called when I thought I had a squirrel in my house (even though he couldn't hold back his laughter)...this guy could do it all. I am so glad that you got to be there for the most important day in my life...I know you never thought you would see the day that I got married :) RIP my friend.... Gone from our sight, but never our memories. Gone from our touch, but never our hearts.
