Obituary of Hazel Murrow
Hazel B. Murrow, 94, formerly of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at Diversicare of Chanute.
Hazel was born May 12, 1920, on her parents farm west of Bronson, the daughter of John and Bertha (Thompson) Harrison. She graduated from Bronson High School in 1938. She moved to Iola 30 years ago and worked at Menegays Restaurant until she retired.
SURVIVORS:
1 Daughter: Rita (Murrow) Tiller of Chanute, KS
2 Grandchildren: William "Bill" Lockhart of Independence, MO, and Brenda Rodman of Blue Springs, MO
7 Great Grandchildren & 4 Great Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, John, Rex and Kenneth Harrison and Georgia May Johnson.
She will lie in state Thursday at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
