Mrs. Loomis was my 5th and 6th grade teacher at Colony. She was a wonderful teacher, just very kind and made each student feel special. A great influence on me all my life. Got to visit with her at the Iola hospital when my dad was ill several years ago. She really hadn't changed much. Sending my prayers for her family at this difficult time. The world was a much better place because Dorothy was here.

Mrs. Loomis was my 6th grade teacher @ Colony back in the 60's. She was a wonderful teacher and a very special person. Since I still live in the area, I would see her once in a while with family. I believe I last visited with her and family in the Colony restaurant a few years ago. She remembered me! Special prayers to the family of a very sweet and special Lady!

She was my grade school teacher also, and a very sweet lady. I was able to visit with her a couple of times this past year and she hadn't changed a bit. She had a great influence on many children and will be missed by all.
