Sterlin Ray Michael, 75, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at his home. Sterlin was born August 16, 1937, in Anderson, Missouri, the son of Albert Ray and Beulah Winona (Mitchell) Michael. He moved with the family to Iola. On August 16, 1956, Sterlin married Vivian Mae Owen and they made their home in Iola. He worked for Walton Foundry for 25 years, in the oil fields, and then for U.S.D. 257 until he retired.
